Outreach has a great opportunity for an Internal Sales Engineer to provide essential internal sales support to the sales team in an efficient and responsive manner. The graduate will monitor the quality management system and help coordinate delivery of contracts. This is a 12 month placement.
Outreach Ltd aim to increase its market share within the UK and abroad, by providing the highest bespoke fabricated steel and plastic bodies. The successful graduate will help coordinate the processes to deliver contracts efficiently.
Firstly, our objective is to remain as Scotland’s number one importer of hydraulic lifting systems and increase our margin within the commercial body building industry. Secondly, we are aiming to achieve 30-40% of the plastic body market within the UK over the coming years, and are confident it will lead to worldwide exports.
The role is to work as part of the sales team contributing to the achievement of its objectives by ensuring procedures are followed and developed to achieve a full information and monitoring system and to maintain the system ensuring it is accurate and up-to-date at all times. Support is also required to assist the Operations and Engineering departments. This role involves the monitoring of our Quality System (ISO9001); training will be given, if required.
The role of the Internal Sales Engineer will be to liaise between the sales team and production to ensure that contract deadlines are met. The Internal Sales Engineer will be responsible for conducting contract reviews to ensure there are no discrepancies within the contract and, in conjunction with this, plan the arrival of critical items, e.g. chassis, loader and other parts in order to co-ordinate the complete build as specified in the contract.
This role requires a high level of verbal and written communication with, internal staff, suppliers and customers throughout the stages of each contract.
