Location - Glasgow

Renfer Ltd, which trades as Ouest Riviera Maison, was recently set up to market a range of homewares by the Dutch lifestyle brand, Riviera Maison. We require a graduate to work on our brand awareness marketing campaign, web and social media strategy in order to increase retail sales and manage the business. This is a 12 month project with the opportunity for conversion to a permanent role.

The business comprises a retail outlet in Glasgow and a webshop. The brand is highly successful in Europe but unknown in the UK.  Reporting directly to the Proprietor this exciting opportunity will allow an innovative and motivated graduate with a genuine interest in furnishing and understanding of retail sales and marketing gain wide experience in a short-time frame.

Not only is the company looking to consolidate it’s Glasgow presence but there are plans to open an additional outlet in Edinburgh in which case there is a definite requirement for a broader role with additional responsibility to the foregoing.  Currently this is a small company so the successful graduate will gain exposure to all facets of the company including sales, marketing, buying, retail management. 

The Project success will be measured through increased foot-fall and turnover.

Role Description

  • To assist the owner is in developing the brand in Scotland. Key tasks;
  • Assistance with management of the business, purchasing, customer complaints, deliveries etc
  • Develop a marketing strategy comprising use of advertising, PR and internet
  • Implement a social media (eg Facebook, Twitter) strategy
  • Assist with face-to-face customer sales
  • Assist with implementation of appropriate retail systems and processes
  • Organisation of customer focussed events and promotions

Skills / Experience

Essential

  • Competent and confident in use of Twitter and Facebook and other Social Media
  • Good customer service skills
  • High-level of communication skills
  • Self-starter
  • Highly motivated
  • Creative and innovative problem solving skills

Ideal

  • Previous experience of creating marketing and sales strategies
  • Previous service industry experience

Qualifications

Essential

  • Interior Design, Marketing, business or relevant degree

Ideal

  • Interior Design knowledge of and interest in homewares market, interior design
