Job summary

Occa Design Consultancy has a great opportunity for six graduates to work in the Inventory & Content Team to ensure that the inventory database is well maintained as well as working to enhance it. This will be 3 month placements with two placements converting to permanent roles with the company.

Job Description

This role is part of the Inventory & Content Team, responsible for managing the Product Inventory Database, the successful upload of new and rapidly expanding product ranges along with the general management of the product inventory.

The Team’s role is to provide the all the necessary product information, images, technical data etc necessary to allow customers to search and browse effectively, and to make an informed buying decision. This is a dynamic and varied role that also includes creating category taxonomy & product listings, enhancing them with SEO rich content and assets such as additional images, links etc. You are expected to continually research and develop your skills in this fast changing environment to ensure that the Occa-Home product listing remains leading in its sector.

The Content Team is fed information from the Buying & Merchandising Department as well as the Creative & Editorial Department. It also deals with suppliers and other internal teams to ensure all relevant information is available and accurate. Therefore excellent communication skills and an understanding of team objectives and priorities are essential.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

-          Developing, maintaining and enhancing the Occa-Home Product  Inventory Database

-          Uploading new products in line with the Inventory Upload Schedule

-          Enhance and update listings by adding considered links and additional information as   it becomes available to maximize sales potential

-          Re-size, re-touch and enhance product images

-          Various ad hoc duties

 Skills / Experience

Essential skills

-          Understanding of CRM and CMS systems

-          Knowledge of programming and data structures

-          Knowledge of programming and data structures

-          Knowledge of website development and site architecture

-          Understanding or awareness of SEO in relation to ecommerce.

Ideal skills

-          Experience with Adobe Photoshop or similar packages.

-          An ability to demonstrate an interest in  interior design or interiors product knowledge

 Qualifications

-          Degree in Computer Science or similar

Additional Info

Pattern of work will be outside the normal 9am-5pm hours but there will be flexibility in arranging working hours with successful graduates.
