The Energy Institute is a professional and technical body serving organisations and almost 12,000 individual members engaged in the energy industry. Two vacancies have arisen in our Membership and Technical teams as follows: MEMBERSHIP OFFICER (salary range ú18-ú20k plus benefits negotiable based upon experience) The Membership Officer is a key post that has responsibility for recruitment of new members, processing applications and payments and managing the associated processes. We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable administrator preferably with an interest in membership marketing initially on a one year full-time contract. The ideal candidate will be educated at least to A level standard, have excellent IT skills, be an effective communicator and able to deal with a wide variety of people. Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous but a highly organised person with some office experience would be considered. TECHNICAL OFFICER/ADMINISTRATOR (salary range ú18-ú20k plus benefits negotiable based upon experience) The EI maintains an active Technical Department responsible for producing a great number of codes, guidelines and technical standards and test methods currently within the oil and gas sector. This role will include working on several EI technical work groups, providing administrative support to the working groups and assisting in the production of technical publications. As a member of the EI's Technical team this position will be expected to actively contribute to the successful and ongoing development of the Institute's scientific and technical programme within the energy industry. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of working without direct supervision and possess excellent communication skills.
