Job Summary

Cigna UK HealthCare Benefits is looking for a graduate to join our marketing team based in Glasgow City Centre. The 6 month project will involve developing our customer centricity initiatives to put our customers at the heart of everything we do. This will enhance our understanding of their needs and drive their satisfaction.

Project objectives

A firm understanding of our customer needs and the experience they have when dealing with our organisation is vital. It allows the business to identify areas for improvement and new opportunities for our products and services. The aim of the project is to help make sure we are gathering the required insight and doing it in the most resource efficient way.

Planned outputs & outcomes

At the end of the project the business should have a clearer direction for our customer needs and experience research initiatives. Taking into account the latest research methodologies and techniques. We should also be more responsive to customer feedback and use it proactively to drive product and service improvements.

Role description

The role involves the assessment of existing customer satisfaction research programmes and working with other areas of the business and third parties (where appropriate), to identify areas for improvement in terms of methodology, content, sampling etc. Once established, these findings and agreed recommedations will be implemented in conjunction with the Marketing Insight Manager.

Other tasks:

  • Working with the Product Management Team to undertake customer journey mapping to understand the key customer touch-points with our organisation and their impact on customer satisfaction
  • Supporting the ongoing measurement of Net Promoter Score (NPS) - a key measure for our business
  • Address knowledge gaps in the understanding of customer needs by supporting the management of market research programmes

Monitor markets effectively and share insight with the business by tracking and reporting on:

  • key influencers in the external market including NHS and Government
  • key health trends
  • competitor product propositions and communication strategies in the corporate sector
  • customer needs and buying behaviours - intermediaries, employers and employees.
  • client and customer feedback

Deliver all of the above:

  • following defined business processes which are maintained in line with audit requirements
  • within corporate design and writing guidelines
  • in a compliant fashion taking particular account of Treating Customer Fairly principles, ICOB rules and Data Protection.

 

Skills/Experience

Key Skills:

  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Experience of sourcing, sorting and drawing conclusions from a variety of information sources.
  • Use of quantitative and qualitative research techniques from primary and secondary research.
  • Use of reporting and presentation packages.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, preferably with experience of project management.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.

 

Qualifications

Educated to degree standard, preferably in a Business, Marketing or Social Sciences discipline.
