The 12 month role will involve developing a marketing strategy as well as enhancing the website to allow online ordering. Job Description

MacLean’s Bakery based in Benbecula is recruiting for a recent graduate for a Marketing role. The 12 month role will involve developing a marketing strategy as well as enhancing the website to allow online ordering.

The aim of the project is to increase awareness amongst wholesalers and retailers as well as increasing business growth locally, in Scotland, the UK and abroad. Tasks will involve:

•        Work with business owners to procure and commission new website tailored to business needs.

•        Identify potential independent retailers and wholesalers, make initial approaches and seek new supply contracts.

•        Build a customer database of wholesale/retail customers to be used for targeted marketing campaigns.

•        Working with website designer, tailor a stock inventory system for online orders allowing for greater stock control and responsiveness.

•        Manage and maintain new website and drive online sales to achieve monthly targets.

•        Make use of appropriate social networking media to promote business and products.

•        Build regular reporting systems on sales/stocks

•        Create quarterly e-newsletter and marketing campaigns

•        Increase and measure sales by 30% in 12 months

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.

Qualifications

•        Degree in relevant discipline.
