Job summary

Stewart Brewing have a placement opportunity for a graduate to maximise our brand presence and sales by promoting the beers and the Stewart Brewing brand through various channels to both existing and potential new customers. The graduate will be involved in all aspects of marketing from social media and events to communications strategies and industry press. This is an exciting and varied 12 month placement with potential for a permanent role, based in Edinburgh.

Job Description

With recent relocation to a new £1.2M Brewery, Stewart Brewing are expanding rapidly and poised for substantial growth from existing sales channels and new opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join the team.

Working with the Marketing Director, the successful candidate must maximise our brand presence and sales by promoting the beers and the Stewart Brewing brand through various channels to both existing and potential new customers. This is a large, challenging and varied role requiring crystal clear communication with our target audience while both delivering upon and exceeding customer expectations.

Specific Job Role includes:

  • Contributing to and developing marketing plan and strategy
  • Generating marketing material to support pub promotions and new product launches including writing and proof reading copy
  • Marketing Communications
  • Writing and distributing press releases
  • Managing marketing literature stocks
  • Liaising with designers and printers on new pub clip designs, bottle labels and marketing literature
  • Creating adverts for trade press
  • Creating and distributing Newsletter/E Newsletter
  • Supporting Marketing Director and other colleagues

Digital Media/Social Networking:

  • Develop our social networking strategy and plan out activity
  • Running campaigns to promote events and product launches on Twitter/Facebook/Emails/Bloggers
  • Keeping Facebook up to date daily with new content and prompting discussion
  • Ensuring relevant content is on Pinterest and Youtube
  • Keeping Website up to date weekly ensuring all events are posted
  • Analysing effectiveness of Facebook/twitter
  • Working with Brewing team, post relevant Blogs.

Events Marketing:

  • Managing tasting events/beer festivals/meet the brewer events
  • Work with the production staff and marketing Director to help develop innovation for new events/concepts/launches
  • Working on and marketing events such as beer launches and Battle of the Brewer Events
  • Preparing material to promote events
  • Attending trade events and exhibitions.

Internal Marketing:

  • Keeping up to date with trade press, other craft brewers and the industry in general, presenting interesting news back to team.

Qualifications

Graduate from undergraduate degree level or above.
