The Role
Opus Learning is looking for a recent graduate to support the development and implementation of an integrated B2C and B2B marketing plan to sell an exciting range of online and blended learning products and services. The graduate will be involved in digital media and direct response marketing campaigns through the line, as well as channel communications and management. Training and development will be provided by senior marketing and business management practitioners from within the industry. This is a 12 month placement with view to permanent hire, based in Edinburgh.

Project Description
Support the development and implementation of a global strategy by integrating elements of the marketing mix described, that results in attracting individual Business2Customer students and Business2Business agents and college partners to engage with Opus Learning in the delivery of learning outcomes to end users.
Develop, deliver and measure Search Engine Marketing (SEM) activities and traditional B2B communications. In addition work to improve Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) performance supported by social media activities, blogging, and back link traffic. Placing articles, PR promotion and establishing a user base via social media and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) work.
Direct response marketing describes the B2C process of attracting interest through to a paying customer. Support and resources have been developed for this effort, but improvements in its effectiveness are sought.
Identify new opportunities for marketing communications in both B2C and B2B channels.
Research the industry sector, reporting on trends within the learning and teaching communities, particularly attitudes and ambitions for international qualifications.
Measurable, effective engagement with target audiences in B2C and B2B. Resulting in achieving targeted student enquiries and conversion and engagement with prospective third party providers of Opus products and services. (Channel marketing and management).
Role Description
The graduate will support the development and implementation of our global customer and partner recruitment strategy. He/she will be work alongside Opus Learning management and CAPDM technologists, who will provide guidance, support and extant resources.
You will be responsible for:
Global B2C: Design, implement, develop and support co-ordinated activity that delivers targeted numbers of enquiries and enrolments. The graduate should be familiar with the concepts of fulfilment and response management methodologies, including sales processes and customer relationship management.
Global B2B: Work with us to improve our channel management performance in partnering with third parties. The graduate should be familiar with direct mail and ‘traditional’ promotional routes to the target audience.
Overall, to ensure the effective delivery of targets through agreed campaigns, on time and on budget.
Skills / Experience
Essential

Strong online marketing skills, e.g. knowledge of Search Engine Marketing, off and on page SEO;

Social media and networking management, including Facebook, Twitter and key blog sites;

Excellent marketing skills, both B2C, e.g. familiar with the concepts of fulfilment and response management methodologies, including sales processes and customer relationship management and B2B, e.g. familiar with direct mail and ‘traditional’ promotional routes to the target audience.

Good research and analysis skills, e.g. to identify trends and opportunities in Online media, and create the International communication strategy;

Exemplary communication skills, including ability to translate technical details to consumer benefits and writing skills to develop highly-focused and compelling blog articles about the sector and what Opus learning qualifications offer.

Pro-active and able to drive projects with a strong can-do attitude
Ideal

Demonstrable understanding and experience in developing social media communications strategies.

Prior experience and understanding of on and off page Search Engine Optimization, website design and running cost-effective SEM.

Some understanding of Further and Higher Education relationships, particularly articulation routes into such institutions.

Knowledge of markets in China, Malaysia, India and other Commonwealth countries.

Interest in and understanding of the mobile application sector.

Willingness to learn about our markets, products and services.

Qualifications
International marketing or business degree with marketing specialism (preferably 2:1)
