Manufacturing Graduate (Production / Engineering)

Featherstone, Pontefract, Yorkshire

Circa £23,000- £25,000 plus benefits including pension

 

Our client is a leading supplier of corrugated packaging in the UK.  

 

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a hard working and enthusiastic graduate to get involved in a number of manufacturing projects within their innovate organisation.  They are seeking a high calibre individual who will be responsible for the planning, facilitation and completion of continuous improvement projects.  This will enhance operational effectiveness and support the strategic cost reduction objectives of the company.

 

In this challenging role, you will be involved in problem identification and data analysis in order to deliver results through project implementation specifically relating to downtime reduction, waste reduction and set up times.  To succeed in this environment, you will have the ability to lead, coach, train and mentor teams in the use of modern manufacturing tools and processes whilst working closely with management and business teams.  You will be key in creating a culture which supports process management and continuous improvement. 

 

The successful candidate will possess a degree (or equivalent) in manufacturing / engineering / business and will have experience in the manufacturing industry, either through work experience or study.  You should have the ability to manage and monitor multiple projects using strong analytical skills and good problem solving abilities. 

 

Our client is looking for a real team player who is able to influence and motivate others to achieve continuous improvement.  Excellent communication is important and you must be highly numerate, organised and competent when it comes to project administration.
