Management Trainee vacancies
£18,200 per annum
Runcorn Head Office - IT
- Central Administration
Part of a multi-national, pan-European company, our client is the fastest growing and third largest pharmaceutical wholesaler in the UK and with 14 distribution depots, they now employ over 1,400 employees. In addition to their distribution business, they also own a large chain of retail pharmacies, employing a further 3,600 employees.
They are currently looking to recruit an additional six management trainees to develop and promote within their business. The trainee positions will be based at one of their distribution depots in the locations detailed above.
The training programme for this role is designed to provide the trainee with a broad range of skills by working within many departments, such as operations, logistics, IT, sales and customer service. The trainees will receive a majority of their training in the depot they are employed at, but from time to time they may also be required to receive training at some of our other depots in order to gain a full understanding of our business.
Two of the vacancies will be based at our Head Office in Runcorn, one to work specifically in the IT department and the other to work within central administration. The role within central administration will involve spending time in all of our Head Office departments where they will concentrate specifically on the administration needs of our business. For these two positions, we are ideally looking for candidates who have specific experience or qualifications in the chosen department, i.e. IT or Administration or general business studies. However, for the other positions, your chosen qualification or previous experience is not so important.
Training for all positions will consist of hands-on guidance and formal internal and external training.
The training period is expected to last approximately 18 months, at which time you shall need to consider which areas of the business that you are most suited to, although this shall largely be dependent on the availability of suitable positions within the Company at that time.
The ideal applicant should be a relatively recent graduate, however consideration will be given to other applicants who have a good educational background.
In addition, you will need:
· The potential to stand out as a leader with management aspirations
· Good problem solving skills
· Be able to adapt to new situations and circumstances
· Be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels
· Have a confident approach to the working environment
· Some previous work experience would be an advantage
As you will occasionally be required to work at other locations throughout the UK, a driving licence is essential for this role.
Promotional prospects are good for the hard-working and self-motivated, especially for those who are willing to transfer to other locations throughout the UK, where additional vacancies may be available.
Successful applicants will be invited to an assessment day for the first stage of the recruitment process. Dates to be confirmed.
If you are looking for an exciting challenge and are interested in one of these positions, please apply.
