We are inviting recent graduates to take advantage of this unique opportunity to gain one year’s paid work experience with the Mountbatten Internship Programme in New York starting in March 2009 or September 2009.
The Mountbatten Institute is a not-for-profit organization that administers paid, one-year internship programmes in New York for enthusiastic and skilled young graduates. The mission of the Mountbatten Internship Programme is to foster international and cross cultural understanding through experiential education, practical training and residence abroad and to provide opportunities for personal growth and professional development.
Since 1984, the Mountbatten Internship Programme has provided hundreds of university graduates with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the high-powered business environment of New York City - giving them a chance to expand their horizons, perspectives, and friendships.
Whilst the work placement is at the heart of the programme, there is also an educational component and our interns also study for a professional qualification during their stay. Choose from the traditional, Certificate in International Business Practice or our new MBA course.
In terms of the work placement, Mountbatten interns are placed with one of our many premier Sponsor Companies ranging from multinational giants (JP Morgan Chase, Citi, American Express, Royal Bank of Scotland) through non-profit/ non-commercial entities (British American Business Inc., Big Apple Circus, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation) right down to small companies including sole proprietorships.
Our Sponsor Companies are selected due to the diversity of their operations and their commitment to intercultural exchange and experiential education.
Industries we place our interns in include: Finance, Events, Law, IT, Architecture, Marketing, Non-Profit, Government, Real Estate . . .
Roles include: Junior Business Analyst, Conference Coordinator, Marketing Assistant, Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Assistant Project Managers . . .
Benefits
Living allowance: $459/every two weeks (apartment accommodation and medical insurance provided).
