Laboratory Technician (Metallurgy / Materials)

Matlock, Derbyshire, (Commutable from Derby, Mansfield, Nottingham, Chesterfield, Macclesfield etc)

Circa £20,000 plus Benefits

Currently a vacancy exists for a Laboratory Technician based in the Etch / Micro Laboratory. Working in a small team, on a two shift system the role will cover the various types of metallurgical work including; Metallography of samples, electrolytic polishing, etching and inspection of forgings, photographic processing, micro etching of forgings and various other laboratory duties.

Candidates with experience of working in a NADCAP environment would have a distinct advantage.

Having an ONC or above (or equivalent) in a materials or metallurgical discipline would also be advantageous.

This role will involve working on a 2 shift pattern, from 6 until 2, 1 week Monday to Friday and 2nd week 2pm until 12 midnight Monday to Thursday
