Laboratory Assistant / Lab Assistant

Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant to join their Quality Control team based in Middlesbrough. The main purpose of this role is to provide an effective quality control and inspection function on behalf of the company. Within this role, your main responsibilities will include the analysis of bulk, packed and blended products, retaining, storing and disposing of samples as required and maintaining quality systems including calibration. You will also be expected to maintain accurate and up to date records of all laboratory analysis, provide quality certification and assist in the investigation of complaints.
What are they looking for?
The successful candidate will be educated to BTEC or A Level standard in chemistry and possess experience of working in a laboratory environment. Knowledge of analytical testing would be advantageous but is not essential. You will have a keen eye for detail and will be extremely accurate in your record keeping with the ability to work with minimal supervision. A dedicated team player, with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team, you will be self motivated with a flexible attitude to your work.
