Logo: MEdiplusMediplus is a medical devices company established in 1986. The Company sells to clinicians and distributors worldwide in the domains of urology and urodynamics, diagnostic equipment, gastroenterology, anaesthesia and operating theatre products.

The Company is growing and has current revenues of several million pounds per annum. Our products are sold in over forty countries. The Company has a strong work ethic and the staff is approachable, friendly and helpful.

Job Description:

1. Update Mediplus competitor library for each of the product franchises. This library to contain a download from each competitor's website, prices, product features and benefits, selling methods, gathering of samples (might be possible if they are acting as a research student). The deliverable will be a thoroughly researched and well presented Competitor File in hard and soft copy

2. Update a Country Profile (for our target markets). Each Country profile to contain: the number of hospitals, number of urologists, number of urodynamic tests annually, usage of propofol, number of procedures annually, calculation of market size for each franchise, addresses and contacts of the urology and anaesthetic trade bodies, overview of the healthcare system in each country, preparation of lists of distributor candidates, preparation of a schedule of congresses and seminars for nominated countries. The deliverable will be a thoroughly researched and well presented Countries File in hard and soft copy

3. Participate in day to day office tasks. The intern will be well briefed by Mediplus so that a good start is made. This will be an excellent opportunity to research and prepare two high quality deliverables and also provide input to the overall operation of the Company.

Key skills required:

Numerate and literate, strong capability in IT ( Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), well developed research skills ( desk research using internet search engines, email, telephone, fax ), project planning capability, time management and prioritisation capability, tenacious, capable of achieving objectives in agreed timelines, able to cope with ambiguity, capability to gather detail and put together into an agreed format, good interpersonal skills.

Working Hours:

35 hours per week, duration 11 weeks.  Week 12 comprises professional training of a 2 day induction and a 3 day final training event.
