Scapa Medical, part of Scapa plc, is a leading manufacturer of specialist self adhesive products used in the Medical wound-care and consumer markets.


We are currently looking to recruit an Industrialisation Engineer to work within our Research and Development Laboratory at our Dunstable Manufacturing facility.


The principal duties will involve the industrialisation of newly developed products on the main processing machines to ensure that the product manufacturing process is robust and efficient. This will be achieved by involvement in initial factory investigations, through production trials to a validation process. Liaison with manufacturing and the engineering functions is an integral part of the position, together with quality and commercial departments. Additionally this position is an ideal opportunity for implementing process improvements which can have a considerable cost benefit to the business.


You should be educated to degree level in a Manufacturing, Engineering or similar degree and have a minimum of two years experience working on process improvements.

Experience in Medical procedures, adhesive coating techniques would be a distinct advantage but not essential. The ideal candidate should also possess good communication and computer skills.
