Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for capturing international orders, managing the shipping process, checking import regulations and organising export shipping documentation from any European location. Kimberly Clark will also offer the opportunity to monitor all imports throughout Europe, validating classification of products for customs, assessing duty rates and VAT and checking data from different reports. The successful candidate will develop personal knowledge of all Import/Export Customs laws and procedures that impact the Kimberly Clark business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To manage the shipping process end to end for their portfolio.
  • To deal with all enquiries relating to Import/Export logistics processes in a timely manner.
  • To advise internal customers on shipping lead times, incoterms, free time at port, carrier changes, airline handlings risk, packing cargo for transport, dangerous goods, etc and be proactive solving problems for them.
  • To raise awareness of product diversion/grey market activities and highlight any concern to legal and global security teams.
  • To check goods departed message and bill of landing is received for all export shipments to justify for VAT audit purposes.
  • To maintain rule list of preferential/non preferential rules of origin and advise the business accordingly and coordinate all long term supply declarations for all external vendors and chamber of commerce.
  • To generate cost saving initiatives using available best price shipping cost, negotiation of freight, advice on revenue saving customs regimes, loading capacity, etc.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to liaise with other departments to establish and maintain effective import/export activities and support the organisation’s sales, purchasing, materials management, production and operating functions.

The Individual

Academically, we are looking for BBB (or higher) at A-level and a 2:1 (or higher) from any discipline completed within the last 3 years. You will be fluent in English with strong communication skills both verbal and written. You will need to be fluent in English with another European language highly desirable, together with first class communication skills.
