The Role

Our client has a vacancy for an individual passionate about a future in HR to join their UK and Ireland HR team.  The role will commence in July 2011. Reporting to the HR Officer, the role offers exciting prospects for growth and development in HR including financial support for professional qualifications and provided that you demonstrate your ability to perform at a higher level, there will be the opportunity for the successful applicant to progress to a management role.

The successful candidate will initially be based in the HR Administration team in Bradford, following and improving existing procedures to ensure accurate and effective HR administration for our client’s 800 strong employee base located over a number of sites throughout the UK and Ireland. Administration tasks will cover all aspects of HR from recruitment to performance management, discipline and grievance through to processing leavers. Throughout this time you will also have the opportunity to broaden your HR experience by assisting managers with recruitment, taking part in disciplinary and grievance proceedings, assisting with payroll and benefits administration and undertaking project work.  The role offers an excellent introduction to HR in a commercial environment with progression opportunities and investment in your training & development.

 

What are they looking for?

Educated to degree level or equivalent our client’s ideal candidate would be an individual who is set on a career in HR.  You will be hard working as well as eager to gain experience and knowledge and develop within a successful organization. Strong numeracy and excellent communication skills are essential, along with focus and attention to detail.  The successful candidate should be well organised and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. You will be able to work independently, be able to prioritise work, and be supportive of other team members.  Ideally you will have or be working towards a business related degree of a minimum second class standard, you should already have a CIPD qualification or will be willing to work towards professional qualifications.
