HR Officer / Human Resources Adviser – South
Based at Malmesbury, Wiltshire and covering Southern England

Our client offers a wide range of equipment hire solutions primarily in the Construction and Building Services sectors. They invest millions of pounds each year in new equipment and state-of-the-art technology, to ensure their customers are able to hire the very best range of equipment from leading manufacturers.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for a HR Officer to join their team and to contribute to their continuing success. The HR Officer will provide and manage an efficient and effective HR service for our client’s locations in the South of England, advising line managers on the management and development of their staff through the interpretation of Company policy, legislation and best practice. The key areas of activity will focus on the recruitment, development, motivation and retention of an effective workforce in Southern locations.
You will ensure the effective co-ordination, management and application of recruitment processes. Implementing new HR policies and procedures across your area of responsibility, you will also conduct some in-house training and development initiatives. You will ensure consistent and fair application of policy and procedures across a geographically diverse multi–site organisation. It will also be your responsibility to provide accurate and timely advice relating to all IR/ER issues, including active participation in grievance / disciplinary issues and Employment Tribunals. You will need to keep abreast of all changes in Employment legislation for this role.
Educated to degree standard or equivalent and ideally CIPD qualified, you will possess experience within a HR generalist role. Excellent communication, influencing, interpersonal and negotiating skills along with strong PC skills are essential for this role.
