Health, Wellbeing and Prevention Practitioner (Charity) – Fixed Term for 12 Months

Based in Birmingham working across the Midlands

Salary £28,560 - £36,720 per annum dependant on skills

Our client is a leading provider of Care and Support services to people with complex needs in Birmingham, Shropshire, Sandwell and South Derbyshire. As a diverse business they continually adapt their direction in a changing and competitive world.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Wellbeing practitioner to join their Head Office in Birmingham. Within this bespoke position you will be responsible for developing and implementing the charities Health, Wellbeing and Prevention strategy, ensuring that the charity is providing a range of high quality services that improve health and wellbeing.

Playing an active role in identifying and winning new business for the charity you will utilise your excellent communication skills to build successful partnerships with health professionals to ensure the charity is at the forefront of innovative service delivery and meeting communities’ needs. You will take part in the completion of tender documents and tender presentations and will develop and produce detailed reports and statistics.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced practitioner with the ability to develop the expertise of staff in relation to health, wellbeing and prevention through designing and delivering a range of bespoke training sessions. This will involve clinical supervision, developing new and effective practises and monitoring staff performance.

You will have a recognised Professional accreditation and an in depth knowledge of psychology, ideally a first class degree in Psychology. You will be a member of the BPA and will have experience of developing policy and procedure to successfully implement positive changes in practises. Ideally you will have experience of working with adults in need of social care and understanding of all adult protection legislation. Due to the nature of the role some travel to all areas of the charity is an expectation.
