If you are looking for a challenging role in the management of Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) within a multi-disciplined design consultancy, this could be the role for you. Working in partnership with the Professional Head of Railway Safety and the Professional Head of Environment, you will ensure that the Business Management Systems fully reflect the Health, Safety, Quality and Environment needs of the company.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead the HSQE Team in actively engaging with staff at all levels to co-ordinate HSQE activities within CRIS including safety policy, competence assessments, generic assessments, risk assessments, audits, COSHH and manual handling activities to ensure compliant operational delivery. You will lead the review / development of efficient office and site HSQE systems including CDM compliance.
IOSH/NEBOSH Certificate or higher is essential and Member of IOSH/NEBOSH is desirable, with significant knowledge and experience as a Health & Safety Advisor ideally within a Designer / Contractor environment. The role requires a self motivated team player with strong leadership skills to deliver benefits of an efficient (electronic) HSQE system within a Consultancy.
Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential to deliver ‘in house’ training packages.
