A successful organisation
We’re one of the leading providers of water and wastewater services in the UK and our organisation is an industry benchmark for quality and customer service. But what makes us unique is our commitment to giving graduates the tools they need to manage their own professional development. We think our approach enables talented people to make a difference to the business, and 70% of the graduates who have completed our scheme since 2000 have stayed with us to continue building our success. Whether you’re interested in sustainable development, want to improve our processes or like the idea of managing the needs of a big client, we’ll encourage you to put your ideas forward and actively shape your own role.
What we’re looking for
We know that talented people graduate in every discipline, so we stay clear of stereotypes and focus on what individuals can bring to our business. We’re looking for a solid 2:1 degree and additional experience and skills that complement your academic achievements. As a diverse organisation, we value graduates who can build relationships with different types of people and demonstrate the confidence to address challenges and encourage changes. Since our services literally cover a lot of ground, you’ll also need a driving licence and the personal flexibility to travel.
We know that we expect a lot from our graduates and we’re looking for people with energy and plenty of commitment. The competition for selection is stiff, so from the beginning you must be prepared to demonstrate the enthusiasm and motivation that keeps a business like ours going strong.
What’s in it for you?
On top of a starting salary of £21,000 that we’ll review every six months during the scheme, we’ll give you 26 days holiday in your first year, a contributory pension, relocation assistance and private health care. In addition, we can offer you a £5,000 interest free loan. But we’ll offer you much more than a good salary and benefits; we’ll give you a chance to develop your talents in an environment rich in support, challenges and opportunities.
