Graduate Trainee – Purchasing Administrator / Supply Chain / Procurement

Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Trainee to join their purchasing team as a Purchasing Administrator. The main purpose of this position is to be responsible for the purchasing processes and initiatives for the company in order to maximise cost reduction and savings whilst maintaining the quality of materials and services. Within this role, your main responsibilities will include managing new vendors, handling SCAR issues and inputting blanket orders for raw materials, issuing purchase orders and dealing with pricing queries. You will also be expected to deal with import and export expeditors and corporate reporting.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in purchasing or business administration. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to negotiate effectively. Tenacious and self motivated, you will work well alone with minimal supervision but you will also possess the relevant skills needed to be an excellent team player.
