What do we do?

We are an established firm of patent attorneys specialising in trademarks, copyrights and patents. Since the late 19th Century we have been providing companies and individuals with expert advice to protect their intellectual property. 

We are a committed investor in graduate talent and regularly take individuals from various technical backgrounds and support them to become Chartered Patent Attorneys. In fact many of our Partners began their career right here.  

We have offices in London, the North West of England and in Munich providing easy access to the European Patent Office.  

Where do you come in?

A patent attorney is a specialist in patent law and practice who works closely with the European Patent Office on behalf of companies and individuals looking for protection for their Intellectual Property.

Your training to become a Chartered Patent Attorney should take 3-5 years. While you are completing your qualification you will complete a range of projects to give you great experience and knowledge.

You will be supporting our partners as they: draft and handle applications, research and provide advice, handle litigations, and ensure their clients are satisfied.  

What do you need to demonstrate?  

A career as a Patent Attorney can be varied, intellectually stimulating and highly rewarding. To be a success with our firm you will need to be an ambitious graduate who is committed to further study.

We are looking for 2.1 graduates in Physics or Electronic/ Electrical Engineering. You must have BBB minimum at A-Level.  

You will be working within a close knit team in our London office so you must be a strong team player with the ability to work with others. We are looking for individuals with integrity, good listening skills and an inquisitive mind.  

We need clear and fluent communicators who also have excellent writing skills. You will be an organised individual with excellent time management skills and with a commitment to further study.
