Job summary

Diageo, the world's leading premium drinks business are recruiting for a graduate for a technical data management role.  The 12 month role will provide an Engineering graduate with rich and valuable experience in a real business environment to support their development as a professional. The successful graduate will work with an overall project team, and will involve identifying the requirements of the new data management system, implementing, and fully training users on it, as well as setting up process notes and guidelines for use. The role will be based in Elgin, Moray.

Job Description

Due to the continuing growth in Scotch Whisky, Diageo are currently investing £500m in capital expansion projects across Scotland.  In order to deliver these projects to world class manufacturing excellence standards, Diageo Engineering require a Technical Data Management System to effectively collate and handover project information.  A graduate is required to research and implement this new system.

The Project will involve:

•        Developing the User Requirements Specification for the Data Management System.

•        Carrying out a Gap Analysis on current systems within Diageo and also in the marketplace.

•        Developing a Business Case for new system, secure funding  and implement

•        Set up the new system and develop training materials

•        Identifying users and deliver training to plan

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.

As part of this TalentScotland Graduate Placement Programme, the candidate will benefit from support from a team within Highlands and Islands Enterprise and also access a five day residential course training focussed on employability and business skills.

For the period of the placement, the graduate will be included in the Diageo performance management process – Partners 4 Growth – where he/she will set specific objectives and growth plans for their placement.
