Job summary
AMG Group Ltd has a 12 month placement for a graduate supply chain planner. Ths role will also include managing supplier relationships.
Job Description
Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, you will work closely with Product Managers and Suppliers to maximise product availability and realise stock level targets.
Further to managing a product portfolio, you will be required to produce robust and flexible “intake” plans, which meet the demands of our fast-paced wholesale environment.
This is a multi-dimensional role and you will have to take into consideration lead time, demand forecasts, promotional activity, supplier reliability and stock holding strategy.
Skills / Experience
Successful candidates will need to possess considerable commercial acumen, be highly analytical, numerate and have good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
In addition, you will also possess the negotiation skills needed to effectively build relationships, internally and externally, but most importantly have the confidence needed to deliver top level supply KPI’s, which help us meet the needs of our Retail customers.
It would be desirable to have stock management experience; preferably a working knowledge of a Far-East supply chain.

The placement will be based in Port Glasgow. Preferred placement start date is the 3rd December 2012 and will end after 12 months as this is a maternity cover.
