Graduate Supply Chain Analyst

Our client is a Tier 1 supplier of automotive Body-in-White products and services, their core capabilities are aluminium and steel pressing assemblies and product and facility design. Solutions for niche to high volume projects are provided.
An opportunity has become available for a Graduate Supply Chain Analyst at our client’s Castle Bromwich facility. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will take responsibility for all plant based logistics and purchase activities and it is hoped that through the development of the business this role will ultimately develop into a Supply Chain Manager for the suitable candidate.
You role activities will include…
Managing supplier scheduling in line with company policies for stockholding and customer schedules.
Maintain call-ins of material to support production planning.
Measure and improve supplier performance in line with vendor management system.
Manage customer schedules and maintain relationship with customer material planning functions to achieve customer satisfaction.
Specifically maintain the ongoing positive relationship with customer logistics supporting day-to-day call in requirements for build.
Support introduction of new product and engineering changes as appropriate.
Assist with production plan and monitor performance in line with customer requirements and company stockholding policies.
Assist in managing the goods inwards and despatch areas.
Manage and lead improvements in stock accuracy drive by the inventory record accuracy and KPI.
Liase with the despatch supervisor and logistics operators.
To be successful at this role you will preferable have a years experience within a manufacturing environment, either gained on an industry placement or after your degree. It is anticipated that you will have a minimum 2:2 qualification from a business studies / mathematical or analytical degree or a degree that has provided you with a sound business understanding. The right candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be expected to visit other company sites and customer sites, so a full driving license is essential. You will have good organisational, verbal and written skills and be computer literate.
