Hayward Tyler are currently recruiting for driven and ambitious engineering graduates to join our team. As part of our engineering management scheme you will take part in a variety of projects aimed at providing you with an in depth understanding of our business, as well as structured training which will give you the tools to progress quickly through our business and become chartered.

What is exciting about this role?

We are looking for a graduate who has an interest in Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing within the engineering sector. This is an exciting opportunity to be trained and develop skills to become a specialist in sourcing. You will seek out new opportunities and establish strong working relationships with local and global suppliers.

Where do you come in?

We are currently looking for an ambitious graduate who will be trained to become a Sourcing Specialist.  You will focus on maximising value through on going sourcing activities.  In this challenging role, you will be required to evaluate and select both local and global sources based upon agreed criteria.

You will take responsibility for purchasing parts and services, taking into consideration the overall demand, sub-contact services and indirect items that are required within the manufacturing area. Influencing the ‘make v buy’ decision, you will work to provide sound supporting data and will constantly challenge the status quo. 

As a specialist in this field, you will have opportunity to demonstrate skills learned, and be supported by the team to achieving the “On time in full, to quality and cost” Supply Chain objective.  You will also be expected to form strong working relationships with local and global Suppliers in order to maximise their service and value.

What you need to demonstrate

We are looking for an ambitious Engineering graduate with a strong academic background (minimum 2:2 degree).  You should have excellent communication and analytical skills.
