Infoplex has an exciting opportunity for a graduate(s) to work on the development of new software solutions utilising our core software package. This will involve programming skills as well as dealing with support calls. This is a 12 month placement with the potential for a permanent role thereafter, based in Glenrothes.

Project Description

Infoplex work with Sage to add value and develop bolt-ons to this popular accounting software. They would like to increase its solutions proposition to the market and are looking to develop a number of new solutions based on our core market offerings.

They and they require a graduate to develop and implement specific new solutions that will integrate with their existing solutions and work with the TAS Software channel. In addition we are creating a new web channel sales strategy and this role will be key to how this develops over the next few years. The graduate will also deal with clients who may choose make enquiries or sales via telephone or mail.

Role Description

Infoplex is looking for energetic, team-based software development graduate(s).

Daily tasks will include:

·         Working with the other software developers regarding ongoing system development

·         Discussing services with customers in order to produce development plans  and develop these products, according to customer scopes

·         Supporting clients by phone by offering advice regarding our solutions and fixing problems

·         Suggesting innovative development ideas to the team in order to work on bring new products to market

·         Managing their tasks in line with the software development plan

·         Expected output will be a number of nominated well designed and fully functioning software solutions in line with our development plans over the next 2 years.

Skills / Experience

Essential Skills

·         .NET Development in VB (or C# accepted)

·         Experience with Microsoft T-SQL for SQL Server highly desirable

·         Communication skills (re. dealing directly with clients)

·         Working and contributing within a team

Ideal Skills

·         Experience using 3rd party APIs highly desirable

·         Experience with WinForms and COM InterOp highly desirable

·         Sales experience

·         Understanding of accounts


·         Degree in ICT/ Software design or related
