There will be great scope for this role to extend in to other areas and training will be provided to develop the graduate’s skills. This is a 12 month position with high potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

Job Description

Project Description

Obair Associates work in Occupational rehabilitation, assessing people who are absent from work on their ability to return to work. With growth of over 30% in the last year, we have identified the need for a graduate to help develop tools to make these assessments faster and more efficient, as well as improve the overall technical provision for this growing business.

The graduate will be responsible for several projects, working from their own initiative, and where necessary with the outsourced IT team.

Role Description

The primary role will be in the development of a bespoke occupational therapy functional testing application. Currently staff use three open source assessment tools, requiring a large amount of manual entry and reporting. This assessment software will gather data held by the company and enable staff to produce reports more quickly in order to increase assessment staff evaluation productivity.

The secondary role will be to develop a "job dictionary or database" to capture the functional demands of occupations, enabling staff to easily and quickly search for and match the capabilities of individuals with suitable roles.

The graduate will also have the opportunity to develop in other IT areas according to their interest areas, for instance working with the outsourced IT team on projects to improve the business, developing the SharePoint, or digital marketing around the new website, being launched in May.

This is an interesting and varied position, and the graduate will be able to support the business on a day to day basis with their knowledge as well as develop their skills.
