Established in 1972, Apollo Chemicals has grown to become one of the largest privately owned UK manufacturers of adhesives and liquid coatings. We supply our products worldwide and across a range of industrial, construction and end-user markets. Join our team as a Graduate Quality Development Chemist and have real impact working with the Quality, Manufacturing and Technical teams at our Head Office in Tamworth.

As a Graduate Quality Development Chemist you will be training and working at our Head Office supporting the Compliance, Quality, Technical and Manufacturing teams.

Using the academic underpinning of your degree you will be involved in process analysis and continuous improvement.

You will assess the characteristics and chemical composition of our products as they are manufactured and you’ll be working with both the Quality and Technical teams advising them of adjustments to be made with a view to obtaining ‘Right First Time’ production.

This is a ‘hands on’ role where you will collect data, make suitable analysis and communicate your conclusions to the wider company.

You will play a key role in the implementation of improvements that will make the business more effective and ultimately increase profits. As you progress you will likely take more responsibility in our afternoon shift (2pm until 10pm).

You will have achieved a minimum of a 2:2 degree classification in Chemistry or Polymer related Science. You’ll also have a track record of good academic achievement before university.

You will also be:-

  • Detailed
  • A strong communicator
  • Inquisitive
  • A strong team player.

Please apply quickly to be considered. Assessments with Apollo Chemicals will be conducted in April and May 2015. If your application is successful then you will be contacted to conduct a telephone interview which will lead to a first stage assessment centre.

Apollo Chemicals will be legally obliged to check your eligibility to work in the UK. Please check your eligibility before applying and ensure that you can provide the appropriate original documents.

We regret due to the high volume of applications we receive; only those successful on application will be contacted for interviews.
