Job summary

Rig Control Products Ltd has great opportunities for two graduate engineers to project manage its control and instrumentation activities. These are 12 month placements with the strong possibility of converting to permanent jobs.

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of the role are to take ownership of and manage any project as requested by the Operations Manager, tasks to include, but not limited to, the following:

Take responsibility for a particular project from the point of handover from the sales team to final invoicing by the accounts team

·         Attend Oil Platform/Rig/Drillship/Land Rig to complete a survey if required

·         Produce initial system one line drawings

·         Produce functional design specification

·         Produce full design documentation package

·         Liaise with production team to ensure system is built on time

·         Assist with the design of the PLC software as required

·         Produce all engineering documentation, manuals/databooks/workscopes e.t.c

·         Liaise with installation team to ensure system is installed correctly

·         Liaise with commissioning engineer to ensure system is installed correctly

·         Take overall responsibility for ensuring all costs related to the project are invoiced correctly

·         Ensure all tasks are completed in such a manner that the requirements of the RCP Quality system are adhered to at all times

·         Commissioning of any RCP system

Skills / Experience

Essential

·         AUTOCad Knowledge and /or experience

·         MS Office

·         Labview

Ideal

·         Siemens PLC Programming

·         MS Project

Qualifications

·         Degree in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Applied Physics
