Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke hydraulic control systems. The company operates globally and undertakes projects both in the UK and overseas and is currently working on significant projects in China. An opportunity has now arisen for an exceptional Project Engineer to join their engineering team.
You will lead and inspire the project team on a day to day basis. Therefore, you will work with the clients’ subcontractors and suppliers ensuring the delivery of projects on time, to specification and to budget. You will ‘mine’ projects to reduce cost and report the progress and financial data back to the senior management team. Above all you will ensure that all of the projects meet quality and legal requirements.
You will have a Mechanical Engineering background, ideally experience in hydraulics, and preferably an engineering degree or equivalent. You will need to be an excellent communicator, able to translate/speak Chinese/Mandarin, an inspirational leader and have strong commercial acumen. Good time management and IT skills are essential as is the willingness to travel. The ability to speak foreign languages would be beneficial.
