You may be still wondering what Cranswick do.

Cranswick Plc are at the forefront of food production.

The origins of the business were established in the 1970s by a co-operative of farmers to produce pig feed. The significant changes came in 1988 when Cranswick embarked upon a strategic growth plan by extending its expertise and knowledge into the production of fresh pork and from there the success story has grown.

Cranswick Plc now works with the UK’s major retailers and food service companies producing fresh pork, gourmet sausages, gourmet bacon, cooked meats and a range of other value added products including sandwiches, continental delicacies such as olives and chorizo and the recent acquisition and development of a pastry bakery for the all-important sausage roll.

You will be involved in projects and real work on farms, in the abattoir and on the production lines understanding the need for purchasing, animal welfare, health and safety, technical specifications and our production and packing processes.
By year 2 you will be running a line and managing people to tight timescales and quality requirements, the ability to problem solve and identify ways to improve a process will make you stand out from the crowd.
