We are looking for a graduate who has an interest in supply chain sourcing within the engineering sector. This is an exciting opportunity to be trained and develop skills to become a specialist in sourcing. Established in 1815, Hayward Tyler is a world leader in engineered pumps and electric motors for specialist applications, predominantly in the Power Generation and Oil & Gas markets.  Headquartered in Luton, UK, the company has 300 employees, generating annual revenues of around £40 millions. 

Where do you come in?

We are currently looking for an ambitious graduate who will be trained to become a Sourcing Specialist.  You will focus on maximising value through ongoing sourcing activities.  In this challenging role, you will be required to evaluate and select both local and global sources based upon agreed criteria.  You will take responsibility for purchasing parts and services, taking into consideration the overall demand, sub-contact services and indirect items that are required within the manufacturing area.

As a specialist in this field, you will be available to assist Project Managers in achieving the contract cost budget.  Influencing the buying decision, you will work to provide sound supporting data and will constantly challenge the status quo.  You will also be expected to form strong working relationships with local and global Suppliers in order to maximise their service and value.

What you need to demonstrate

We are looking for an ambitious graduate with a strong academic background (minimum 2:2 degree).  You should have excellent communication and analytical skills.

It is also important that you are fully conversant with Microsoft Office packages.
