Job Description

The Process Engineer role will involve a diverse range of functions, from detailed design and installation of production facilities, through to the supervision of 3rd party contractors. You will be reporting directly to the Process Engineering and Facilities Manager whilst working within a team consisting of four Maintenance Engineers, two Facilities Personnel and one Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working closely with on-site process engineers, maintenance engineers and the compliance team to ensure the process plant is set up to provide maximum output levels and efficient running of the production facility
  • Designing plant and equipment configuration so that they can be readily adapted to suit the product range and the process technologies involved, taking environmental and economic aspects into account
  • Assessing options for plant expansion or reconfiguration 
  • Designing, installing and commissioning a new production plant, including monitoring developments and troubleshooting
  • Applying new technologies
  • Involvement in HAZOP teams, RAM’s, PUWER, DSEAR risk assessments along with other safety study processes to maintain and improve plant safety
  • Improving and developing procedures for safe plant operations
  • Assisting in the development and on-going improvements of our TPM system
  • Liaise with 3rd party contractors and specialists
