We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated graduate to play a major role in a strategic two year collaborative project between e-DBA and the University of Brighton. The project will provide e-DBA with the capability to develop an Oracle DBA incorporating optimised ITIL based processes, improving internal procedures and client service delivery.
e-DBA, based in Brighton, East Sussex, is an established leader in Oracle Managed & Professional Services and Oracle Licensing. Its core business is based on the remote monitoring of clients’ database and computer server performance using intelligence to flag potential issues before they impact on the customer.
This opportunity, as part of the government’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme, will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to be a major player in a leading edge managed services environment on a two-year fixed-term project to improve the company’s ITIL based process capabilities. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to register for a funded higher degree such as an MSc.
Key attributes: Honours degree at 2.1 or above in an appropriate subject, for example Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electronic Engineering. A higher technical degree would be an advantage. Knowledge of Oracle database and system administration, the ITIL framework, and proven capability in the development of processes and applications is essential, as is some experience of specifying, developing and delivering technical projects.
The package: A competitive salary, early responsibility for a high profile project in a leading company, a generous dedicated personal development budget and the opportunity to register for a funded higher degree.
