Job Summary

BlueSky Experiences is looking for a graduate for an online sales and marketing role, based at our headquarters outside Perth. The six month project will involve helping to designing and developing our new website and social media profiles, in order to create a website that is highly optimised, build brand identity and ultimately increase sales. There is potential for a permanent role after the initial 6 months.

Project Description

We are creating a new innovative website for BlueSky Experience that is easy to use, continually up to date and demonstrates the values of the brand encapsulated in our strapline Events for Serious Fun. An integral part of the project is to develop our social media strategy which will be linked to the website with a regularly updated blog, Facebook and twitter sites, as well as the LinkedIn profiles.

The outcome of this project will be to have an extremely well optimised website for our key search terms, which is easy for our clients to use as well as easy for us to use, keeping it continually updated and relevant. All of this will lead to an increase in enquiries and in turn increase sales and profitability.

Role Description

Working closely with the marketing manager, the graduate will play a key role in the development and success of our two leisure websites, with a focus on the new BlueSky Experience website. They will take overall responsibility for the website, to know it inside and out, and all aspects of online marketing, to build brand identity and achieve interest and sales.

The successful individual will receive on the job training and support from consultants but should be confident in all things online and enthusiastic to take a hands-on approach to website management and internet marketing.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the design and build teams to ensure the website is interactive and drives interest
  • Help design and develop proposal documents in keeping with the new website
  • Write copy and content for the website to drive hits and sales
  • Create email marketing campaigns
  • Set up and manage social media to build brand and drive interest in the website, e.g. Blogs, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter campaigns, etc
  • Set up and manage Pay Per Click, meta-data and Search Engine Optimisation
  • Manage Google analytics to produce analytical reports on the website usage
  • Assist the sales team through taking calls and managing enquiries
  • Occasionally attend marketing exhibitions.

 

Skills/Experience

  • Some knowledge and/or experience in designing marketing material, as well as working on websites and social media sites.
  • Good level of knowledge in social media and the population of these sites.
  • Good team working and communication skills are essential as the candidate will work in a small team
  • Ability to learn on the job will be key to the success of this project so the applicant must demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

    The company is based in a rural location and public transport is not great, so applicants should have a driving license and access to their own transport.
