Job summary

RigQuip International Ltd have an excellent opportunity for an engineering graduate to monitor the design and manufacture of components to be integrated into a well intervention rig. This is the first international project of this kind for the company, so, the graduate will be required to help project manage to ensure correct procedures and processes are in place. This is for 12 months with the possibility of converting to a permanent role, based in Aberdeen.

RigQuip International Ltd have an exciting new project and are looking for a graduate, who will work with RigQuip’s International project and engineering team to monitor design and manufacture of specific components to be integrated into a well intervention rig being designed and supplied by RigQuip International for a major international operator

·         The successful candidate will have day to day dialogue with international vendors (English speaking) and end client as well as the RigQuip International project and engineering team

·         This will be RigQuip International’s first international project of this kind and the Mechanical Engineer will help put in place new procedures and processes to execute on time delivery and keep project within budget

·         Sub vendor equipment to be delivered on time, on budget and in accordance with client’s technical specifications

·         RigQuip International to have procedure and processes in place to enable it to take on more and bigger projects

Role Description

·         Project Planning, Monitoring and Management to ensure Cost Control

·         Meetings with vendors and client

·         Liaise with international vendors (English speaking) and end client as well as the RigQuip International project and engineering team

·         Procedure Writing

·         Reviewing mechanical designs

Skills / Experience

Essential

·         Experience and or Knowledge of CAD, databases and spreadsheets

·         Excellent organisational skills – working to tight deadlines and with multiple priorities

·         Strong communication skills – both verbal and written

Ideal

·         Engineering experience in an office environment

Qualifications

Essential

·         Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Project Management but other degrees will be considered

Ideal

·         Project Management skills
