Covpress are seeking three graduate mechanical engineers to start an exciting engineering career.  Our employees share a common goal, to ensure we are "best in class" in terms of quality, delivery and price competiveness and be the first choice for our customers.  We are looking for graduates with a passion for engineering and the drive to progress through the company.

This position will include the following responsibilities:

•             Working alongside existing engineers within the quality or process side of the business to support functions

•             Design feasibility analysis eg. Are design measurements correct? Can it be manufactured? What is the cost? Where can parts be sourced?

•             Design reviews

•             Maintaining the Automotive Standard for report documentation

•             Support manufacturing process, production issues and process improvements

•             Finite element analysis of new projects

•             Participate in both internal and customer meetings

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

•             Enthusiasm, drive and great communication skills are essential.

•             A 2:2 degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or materials.

•             Confident and proactive approach to work.

•             Problem solving skills

•             Precise and accurate approach to documentation

•             Ability to work in a team

•             Show a passion for engineering and Covpress

The following skills would be advantageous:

•             Fluency in French or Chinese

•             Familiarity with CAD packages

•             Knowledge of automotive standards

•             A placement/ previous work experience in automotive engineering
