Job summary

An Lanntair, an arts and culture centre in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, offer a 12 month graduate placement focussing on Marketing. The role will involve development of a marketing plan, upgrading and expansion of the website and creation of a reconciled membership database and members’ offer.

Job Description

There are 3 key pieces of work required, leading to a single end. These are: -

• Developing and implementing a cohesive marketing strategy - possibly using specialist advice, and building on, utilising and incorporating studies undertaken through TalentScotland placements in 2011 and 2012. At present there is no updated strategic marketing plan and this is a necessary ‘road-map’ in terms of direction of travel for growth.

• Expansion and upgrading of information and capability of the website - this is currently handicapping progress as the site architecture and software is both out of date and hard to update. This is a priority.

• Review, coordinate and reconcile membership offer and increase and develop a new relationship with our membership base - maximise the use of the box office system’s data-capture facility and develop co-ordinated streams for pro-actively targeting our customers.

There are other aspects which feed into this such as maximising and capitalising on the opportunities that the new digital and 3D cinema will offer and in training staff on up-selling techniques and opportunities.

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.
