Job summary

Wilderness Scotland, the leading adventure tour operator in Scotland, based out of the Cairngorms National Park, are recruiting for a recent graduate for a 12 month marketing role.  The successful graduate will be responsible for developing and implementing a marketing strategy for a completely new business model - Wilderness Ireland.  This is a new venture for Wilderness Scotland Ltd and will see their business model applied to Ireland. The post will be based in Inverdruie, near Aviemore.

Job Description

Wilderness Scotland, the leading adventure tour operator in Scotland, are recruiting for a recent graduate for a 12 month marketing role.  The successful graduate will be responsible for developing and implementing a marketing strategy for a completely new business model - Wilderness Ireland.  This is a new venture for Wilderness Scotland Ltd and will see their business model applied to Ireland. In order to do this the graduate will be required to build a comprehensive understanding of the adventure tourism marketplace in Ireland. 

Tasks will include:

•        Gather, review and interpret relevant market research

•        Identify potential funding streams

•        The selection, engagement and development of appropriate channels

•        Analytics interpretation

•        Creative content generation

•        Customer touchpoint development. 

•        Image selection and optimisation

•        Feedback and development of marketing channels

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.

Skills / Experience

Essential:

•        Creative and descriptive writing

•        Online development

•        Print production

•        Extensive cloud based IT skills

•        Online relationship marketing

•        Previous experience of CMS

•        Copywriting skills

•        Marketing channel development

•        Attention to detail

•        Concern for quality

•        Creative and innovative

•        Commitment to excellent customer service

Desirable:

•        Experience with the media

•        Promotional partner management

•        Marketing evaluation

•        Competent with Photoshop

•        Product knowledge of Ireland

•        Working in adventure tourism

•        Video filming and production

•        Membership of CIM

•        Good work ethic

•        Interpersonal skills

•        A love of the outdoors

•        Goal driven

Qualifications

•        Degree in Marketing or other relevant discipline.
