EXPIRY NOTICE: This job has now expired and will not be accepting any more applications.

Location: Midlands and Luton

Arc Specialist Engineering is the parent company of a number of specialist engineering businesses. We have a combined turnover of £40million and just over 200 employees. The group includes Cooper Coated Coil, Weston Body Hardware and Toolspec. Each business is established and recognised in its own right.

At our site in Redditch, Weston Body Hardware, we specialise in concepts for lock-and-latch systems including all types of handles and hinges whether for enclosures and large units like generators, compressors or heavy duty motor vehicles.

Toolspec, based in Luton, provide specialised tubular and section manipulations to be used in complex components and welded assemblies. Working closely with various clients from industries such as the automotive industry, we create assemblies for car doors and the under frame chassis assembly amongst others.

Our third company, Cooper Coated Coil, designs and produces pre-coated metals to the bakeware, domestic appliance and houseware industries. With a global distribution network, this is the part of our business that you will probably be most familiar with! Our non-stick technology can be seen in everyday items from baking trays to irons!

As part of our Graduate Trainee programme you will rotate through our three businesses to gain a greater understanding of how we work.

You will work on different projects that will all help to make our businesses more efficient and cost effective. Using your strong communication skills you will work with our teams internally and our clients to ensure that we are working in the best way possible.

As each business is so unique your experiences will be varied meaning that throughout your time on the programme you will gain a wide variety of skills that will aid you when moving into a role once the programme has finished.

In return for all your hard work we will take you through our management training programme delivered by Discovery Graduates and accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management.

The successful applicant for this role will hold a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of a 2.2. Due to the nature of our business, it is important that you come from an engineering background in order to fully understand and appreciate our processes.

We really value attitude and desire over work experience. We're looking for someone who is willing and eager to learn and can demonstrate a can do attitude.

Due to the location of our sites and our customers, all applicants must be flexible to relocate and travel nationally and internationally.

A full European Driving Licence is also essential due to the rural locations of our businesses.

If you can demonstrate success and commitment through academic achievement, problem solving through your involvement in extracurricular activities and a strong team work ethos we want to hear from you.

Discovery Graduates are the retained managing consultants. All applications will be processed through Discovery. We regret due to the high volume of applications we receive; only those successful on application will be contacted for interviews. In the event that you are unsuccessful for this opportunity, we may still be able to help you and we will retain your application and consider you for other opportunities.

Location: London (inner and outer), West Midlands
