Royal Vopak is the world’s leading independent tank storage provider for the oil and chemical industry. Join the UK Graduate Management Scheme as an Engineer and you’ll be given opportunities to develop and challenge yourself from day one. Every career at Vopak is given the opportunity to shine!

The Graduate Management Scheme will be challenging, varied and ultimately very rewarding. Through placements and projects you will gain knowledge of our key business areas including Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Health and Safety and Project Management.

As a Graduate Engineer you will naturally focus on the engineering needs of our business which include temperature control, mixing, blending, pumping, quality, electrical/power planning, health and safety, controls and instrumentation, and continuous improvement projects.

You will be part of the UK Graduate Management Scheme but this also involves working with our European divisions, partners and customers and as such there are many exciting international projects and training opportunities which you could get involved in throughout your first 18 months.

We are looking to develop future leaders and therefore we are committed to your development, coaching and continued professional development (including the potential of a funded MBA in the future).

Whether it is the executives or the operators, we know the value of motivated and enthusiastic staff. That is why we invest in the (further) development of everyone working at our company. When you join Vopak, you will immediately see the opportunities available for further career and personal development. We do so by providing specifically developed courses, training sessions and personal coaching at all levels.

To be suitable for the programme you will need to demonstrate achievement and knowledge in a relevant discipline (ideally a 2.1 degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering).

You will have the following strengths:

  • Leadership
  • Communication skills
  • Analysis
  • Problem Solving
  • Team work
  • Planning and organising
  • Adaptability

We are looking for ambitious, positive, confident individuals who can progress to become future business leaders. It’s important that you value integrity, supporting others and continuous development.

Due to the nature of the locations involved and the varied projects you will need a Full UK Driving Licence.

Apply now for immediate consideration. The programme will commence in Autumn 2015.

Discovery Graduates are the retained managing consultants. All applications will be processed through Discovery. We regret due to the high volume of applications we receive; only those successful on application will be contacted for interviews. In the event that you are unsuccessful for this opportunity, we may still be able to help you and we will retain your application and consider you for other opportunities.
