Graduates join us from all degree disciplines and go through personal development and training, tailored to your individual needs, to become IT programmers for the first 2 years. Progression from here can lead to sales, project management, management and technical.

ò People with an outstanding academic record, including all A grades at 'A' level and a good degree, 2ii and above.
ò Talent and technical aptitude - no prior computing experience is required although the ability to solve complex problems is

As a new graduate, you will have your own individual development plan, tailored to meet your specific needs and objectives. At the heart of your training will be a high level of support and assistance from your assigned mentor and manager - who will allocate up to fifty days of their time for your training during your first year. This represents a massive - and probably unique - level of training investment.
As well as ranking third overall in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work for 2004, we ranked sixth in the Best for Training group. We were found to be the biggest investor in training overall, spending ú12,000 annually per employee, with each receiving approximately 100 hours of skills training.
Developing your technical skills is crucial. However, your training will be broadly scoped, covering the full range of communications and marketing skills, customer handling, and project and personnel management. This will enable you to develop your career to best suit your skills and desires, for example
ò in management, which encompasses both project management (planning, leading and delivering the work for your team) and personnel management (mentoring, advising and developing your team)
ò in customer support, offering expert advice to our customers in the deployment and operation of our products
ò in sales and marketing, generating new business opportunities for Data Connection in leading-edge markets
ò in product design and implementation, being responsible for the overall architecture and quality of our technology.
On-the-job training, with close, expert management and mentoring, will form the basis of your development.
ò in-house seminars, specifically tailored for new graduates, covering every aspect of the company\'s operation
ò detailed technical seminars covering specific projects and business areas
ò training tasks designed to improve presentation and communication skills
