Food Certification International Ltd (FCI), part of the Acoura Group, is recruiting for a 12 month graduate IT role based in Inverness. The successful graduate will work on a project which is designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT systems across the Acoura Group.

Job Description

The graduate will play a key role in an IT project which will be designed to cover the following key business processes across the full range of Acoura’s certification and business activity:

• Membership and client management (Basic CRM functions)
• Renewals and financial control (Bulk renewals, invoicing and subscription products)
• Inspection scheduling, management and scheme specific data
• Pre-assessments audits, non-conformance resolution and certifications
• Email / print correspondence and template management
• Assessor competency and resource management
• Management reporting and scheme dashboards
• Project management (MSC)
• Offline data collection

The system will be developed over the next 12 months and will incorporate/update the current aquaculture database and incorporate a project management tool for the Fisheries department.

By having a central online system to manage arrangements for auditing, client data, certification, resource management, finance and project management will make management of their business activities more cost effective and provide a better service to FCI clients.

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.

Skills/Experience

Essential:
• Object oriented programming and design skills
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge and experience of .Net, VB.Net, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Have a strong understanding of internet and web protocols, especially web service and "Web 2.0" data driven techniques.
• Ability to plan and coordinate under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good time and logistics management

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of IIS, SQL Server 2008+ database development and experience with business intelligence tools
