Job Description

Tayside Diesel Engineering are looking to bring on a graduate for a broad and varied role to assist with the day to day running of a busy engineering company.

The main focus for the graduate will be to improve the company’s current procedures to meet the changing demands of our customers, as well as looking into and creating a strategy for marketing. As a small company, we are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about and willing to get involved in all aspects of the business.

Key tasks will include:

  • Analyse current processes and make recommendations for how the company can better meet customer demands
  • Research and create database for the types of work in the Offshore Wind Energy market with a view to finding new markets and where TDE could be best utilised
  • Develop a marketing strategy, e.g. Where best to advertise etc
  • Assist with creating flyers/brochures etc
  • Create database of Renewable Energy vessel operators, to include types and quantities of engines being used and current location as well as contact details
  • Assist with Quality Assurance ISO9001, e.g. reviewing and ensuring the implementation of standard documentation.

 

Skills/Experience

Essential

  • Some knowledge and/or experience in Marketing/Research
  • Strong IT skills
  • Motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Intellectual curiosity/willingness to learn

 

Ideal

  • Some understanding of mechanical engineering would be benefit but not a requirement

 

Qualifications

Graduate from an undergraduate degree or above. All disciplines accepted.
