Graduate Financial Management Trainee ú17,000 + Benefits Birmingham We are the UKÆs leading fresh meat manufacturer, supplying the major supermarkets. The role The role will start with preparing information to go into weekly and monthly reporting. You will be producing analysis for the factories managers on a daily basis showing labour and yield efficiencies. You will also learn the basics of purchase ledger and credit control that will give you a solid grounding for your future career within the business. Over a period of time your skills will develop, which will see you producing weekly and monthly management packs in their complete state, working with the sales manager on product profitability and reviewing new products or identifying how labour costs per unit can be reduced with the shift managers. About you We are looking for an ambitious individual to join the group as a financial management trainee. This will involve learning how the business works, not only financially but also understanding the workings of sales & production. You will be down to earth, not afraid to have an opinion and speak up in a group. You will be hard working with an eye for figures, keen to get stuck in and get your hands dirty. If required you should be as prepared to work on a production line alongside your shop floor colleagues as you would be to sit down with the business Managing Director to go through the previous weeks results. Previous Accounting or Financial experience (either academic or professional) is Preferred but not essential. Degree û numerate degree 2ii and above UCAS points 20 We offer a very progressive Graduate Management scheme û and recognise potential in individuals, we are more interested in your attitude than work experience. You must demonstrate a strong numerical base in your degree or work experience. Strong communication skills are essential û you must be able to ask questions and make things happen. Development You will be expected to undertake and complete CIMA within three years. During that time your skills will have developed sufficiently that there will be an expectation that you will then move to another site within the group at a Management Accountant level.
