Who are ABP?

ABP is the leading supplier of beef and lamb products in the UK.  Through our fresh and frozen divisions we are a preferred supplier to major retailers and food service companies in the UK. As a company we have a down-to-earth attitude - both in the way we approach a problem and the way we interact with other people.

So, where do you come in?

Your role will develop your skills within the financial function of our business. You will continue your training so you are able to take responsibility for short-term issues as well as long-term strategy overcoming financial issues in ABP throughout the UK.

You will get involved in business analysis, evaluating investments, predicting costs, analysing trends, making financial projections, alongside accounting and managing day-to-day cash flow.

Your role will be both challenging and exciting and you will be working towards your CIMA qualification. We want you to have the confidence to take real responsibility, developing into a management accounting role.

What you need to demonstrate?

You must have a Financial, Economics, or Accountancy background, alongside strong academics (2.2 minimum)

You should have experience with the practical side of finance, bookkeeping, accounts, payroll etc. This can come from work experience or industrial placements. We want people who aren’t afraid to get stuck in.

You should also have finance ability; a passion for numbers and a respect for the importance of data are essential. We want someone with all-round skill and passion throughout the financial function.

You will be communicating with a variety of departments and individuals, so strong communication and team work skills alongside being an adaptable and personable individual are all essential.

A driving license is essential.
