The MSIS Group, specialist cleaning services to the Oil and Gas market based in Invergordon, are recruiting for a graduate placement for a 12 month finance role. The successful graduate will be responsible for a project which will focus on the implementation of a sophisticated, bespoke, fully integrated Management Information System.

The project will be structured around several mini finance projects to complete throughout the year. The MSIS Group has an ambitious 3 year growth plan to 2015 and we recognise that 2013 is a critical year for enhancing the existing finance structure and tools.

The mini projects identified are as follows;

1. Creation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting to the board of directors on a monthly basis, this will involve financial and operation reviews of labour activity and plant and equipment utilisations.
2. Assist with a significant IT spend which will involve integrating operational activities and finance activities with our core accounting systems, whilst working with 3rd party developers. Typically this will involve testing of new system controls, assisting with the drafting of management information system manuals/user guides and being part of the internal development team.
3. The designing and writing of new SAGE reports to facilitate enhanced reporting and create efficiency on the collation of such data.

The vision is to ensure delivery of identified enhancements to the finance department, both in terms of operations and output.

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.

Skills/Experience

Essential:
• Excellent IT skills, excel in particular
• Understanding of financial and management accounting principles – Finance related qualifications
• Accounting software/packages
• Experience in a commercial environment
• Has undertaken project work in the past, and delivered on time and on workscope
• Driven, ambitious, enjoys being part of a team

Desirable:
• IT programming/development
• Sage accounts experience
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry
