EXPIRY NOTICE: This job has now expired and will not be accepting any more applications.

With one of the most recognised and admired brands in the world, UPS is a leading provider of specialised transportation, logistics, capital, and e-commerce services.

Working in sales for a globally reputable company like us is unlike any other sales position you could find. It is not about the “hard sell” – instead, the focus is more on intelligent, effective and friendly communication.

You will need lots of energy and enthusiasm, as you will spend most of your time gathering intelligence on your customers’ needs through face-to-face meetings. But since you will be working with winners, and are rewarded based on the effort you put in, such enthusiasm is not hard to maintain.

The Roles

Due to recent restructuring we now have a number of vacancies throughout the UK for Field Sales Executives, both territory specific (Account Executives) and non-territory specific (Bench).

You will be responsible for the entire sales process from intelligence gathering and prospecting to negotiating, securing and managing new and existing accounts.

If made an Account Executive, you will be allocated a specific postcoded territory.

If made a Bench Account Executive, your sales team will be non-territory specific and assist the territorial Account Executives with various functions, including cover for absences, as directed by the Area Sales Manager.

The Requirements

Excellent presentation and communication skills are required for you to be able to discuss customer requirements and to build relationships with decision-makers.

Working to meet and exceed ambitious targets, you need the self-confidence to make cold-calling pay off, and the determination to succeed.

Managing your time and working mostly in isolation requires good organisational skills, self-discipline and the ability to work on your own initiative.

Specifically, you must have at least 18 months experience in business-to-business sales, ideally but not necessarily in the distribution industry. You will also need a clean driving licence, held for a minimum of two years, and be aged over 21 for insurance purposes. A company car is provided with this role.

If you want to develop, progress and benefit from our strong policy of promotion from within, then sales with UPS is for you. Send us your CV and covering letter by clicking Apply Now below.
